Service King has repaired our cars numerous times over the last 10 years. We've repeatedly come to Service King because we've always received excellent service. This latest experience was pretty rocky, and we only received good service once our insurance agent called and expressed concern. Even after that, when we were initially contacted that our car was ready to be picked up, we arrived only to find out that the brand new bumper had chipped paint in two places and was poorly attached on one side. This meant we had wasted a 35 minute drive to pick it up. When we were contacted a second time to pick up our car, we found that the chipped paint had been repaired, but the bumper still required adjustment on one side because it was not securely attached. Ultimately, we were satisfied with the repair, but the overall experience was definitely not the excellent quality we were used to having.

The repairs I took it in for seem fine. However I got in my car and the battery was dead and it wouldn’t start. They jumped it and when it did start there were numerous error messages given. They let the battery charge and cleared the error messages. I drove home and the next day the battery was dead again. Additionally there was a new dent on my front fender that wasn’t there when I dropped the car off. I pointed it out and was told it looked like someone had opened their door into me and he tried to sell me the service I could come back and have done to get the dent removed. I have had a previous service king repair that was slow but had no issue. This has left me disappointed and frustrated beyond belief.

Thankfully, the work itself appears satisfactory, which is ultimately the most important detail. Getting to that point was frustrating to the point of me almost walking out and finding another body shop. ****. Made appointment for estimate in person but my husband returned at the assigned time and there was no record of the appointment. They did assess the damages eventually, however. 2. Made appointment for the work through the ****-800 number and when I arrived at the assigned time, it had been made with the Farmer's insurance person rather than the State Farm person. 3. State Farm person began to do an estimate that had supposedly been done the week before but was no where in the system. 4. State Farm person says we will have to "try to work it in among the cars already scheduled"...Why wasn't mine scheduled if I had an estimate and an appointment? All of this made me very skeptical that the work would be done correctly. 5. Received text messages of updates that were addressed to other people and not to me. Fortunately, when I did pick up my vehicle, the work appears have been performed to my satisfaction. Chaotic process; end result good.
