The car has to go back because the paint did not match. There was still some blemishes (creases, new blemishes that I swear wasn’t there when the car was dropped off. and a paint drip). Plus, I was told I was getting a new fender so if that is true it should be blemish free. I am actually very frustrated with the experience and while I appreciate your offer to make things right that is going to take time. I feel like your quality control should have noticed the problems before I was called to pick up the car The repair at your facility took a long time and so far the results have not been worth the wait. I’m pretty shocked that an authorized VW facility can’t match paint. I will deal with this next week but I’m really really unhappy with the car. On a positive note the people have been nice and calls were returned in a prompt fashion but when the point is to have the car returned to its preaccident state I think you all need to focus more on having skilled repair technicians. Paint drip on a car makes me think you allowed a 3yo to paint my car and gives me zero confidence in the longevity and quality of the repairs on my vehicle. Also, I know I agreed to return the car for the additional repairs on March 5 but now that I think about it I’m pissed that I have to wait and drive a car with two toned paint for your mistakes. And I keep thinking about how my car sat there for several days before being inspected and then waiting for parts despite you all having the estimates list a week before the car was brought in. I was under the impression that you all would be ready to go with repairs so by my calculations at least 4 days were wasted Anyway I’m really really unhappy.

The placement of the hood is not correct. The gap between the hood and the sides is much greater in one side then the other. There is a visible difference, that gives the impression that the hood is placed towards the right, instead of centered. I have shown that to the Service guy when I retrieved, and got the answer that it was within the VW tolerance; to what I said then that VW should be more strictly driven. I would never deliver something to my customer with that much error.

Hey John Yes there are some issues with the panel gap on the trunk. One side has room for a finger the other doesn't. Furthermore the fitment isn't right leading to uneven lines and uneven panel gaps around the taillight. The bumper still feels like there is play...but that may be subjective.
