BMW Preferred – Kniesel’s is one of a very few collision centers in the entire Sacramento area with specialized BMW equipment and technicians who have completed the rigorous BMW Certification training.
Toyota Certified – At every Kniesel’s Collision Center, we have Master Technicians who have completed Toyota Certification and have been Toyota Factory Trained for Hybrid Vehicles.
Hybrid Vehicles – All Kniesel technicians and account managers are I-CAR Hybrid/Alternative Fuel Certified, ensuring you receive factory-quality repairs to your hybrid vehicles.

Lifetime Warranty
At Kniesel’s we stand by our workmanship 100%. We offer a full warranty on all paint and body work for as long as you own the vehicle.
This warranty is intended for normal use of your vehicle. It does not apply to work performed on vehicles used for racing, off road activities, or any unusual purpose. Abuse, a subsequent accident, normal paint deterioration due to exposure, and rock chips are new issues and are not covered. This warranty does not cover any work requested by the customer that is, in our opinion, unsafe or sub-standard. Non-recommended work will bear a disclaimer on the service order. Our workmanship is founded on the use of quality parts. Parts installed are warranted to the extent given by their respective manufacturers. Used parts or parts provided by the customer are not covered in this warranty. No other warranties are made except as listed here. To the extent allowed by law, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the vehicle, commercial loss, or consequential damages are not covered. The warranty is provided to the owner of the vehicle at the time work is completed and is not transferable. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties express or implied.

Our History
Like many European families, the Kniesel’s were business owners who lost everything during World War II. From a refugee camp in their native Austria, the Kniesel family headed for America. Within a few years of emigrating, they had started a mechanical and auto body repair business.
Over time, the business expanded, and in 1968, Richard Kniesel opened what is today Kniesel's Collision Centers. His wife Lilo and each of his five children joined him at the shop daily. Together, they worked to ensure that each customer enjoyed the kind of service experience that Kniesel’s has become known for. This commitment to caring attention has made Kniesel’s a great place to work, too. In fact, we have some employees who have stayed with the company for over 30 years!
Today, the Kniesel family maintains its tradition of impeccable quality. They provide unsurpassed service with uncompromising integrity. Loyal customers have enabled the next generation of Kniesels to expand their small business. The family now runs a group of Collision Centers with over 100 employees.
In 2003, Kniesel’s opened their second shop in Rocklin. Another shop was opened in Natomas in 2008. A fourth location opened in Shingle Springs in April 2012.
Our newest location was opened Downtown Sacramento Summer of 2012. Each day, Robert and Tom Kniesel work side-by-side to continue the family’s dedication to satisfying our customers.
