At Dalton Collision, we offer a tradition of service and expertise that is backed by over twenty years of auto body repair practice and experience. As our new customer, your car truck or SUV will be repaired by the latest in high-tech collision equipment operated by up to date and highly skilled auto body repair technicians.
Servicing the greater Knoxville area and eastern surrounding counties, Dalton Collision works with all major car insurance companies. We also participate in Direct Repair Programs (DRP) for most major car insurance carriers. The DRP enables you to cut through insurance “red tape” for the fastest auto body repair turn-around time.
Our Approach:
Once the estimate is complete, your car starts the repair process at our state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly auto body repair facility. Our technicians complete all of the factory recommended steps to ensure a quality repair.
After ordering any necessary replacement parts for your car, one of our auto body repair craftsmen removes all damaged car parts from the accident area. This allows our auto body technicians to concentrate on any damage that may have been done to the vehicle’s inner structure. If straightening and alignment are necessary, using the Car-o-Tronic computerized frame and unibody straightening system performs an exact factory matching repair. After the car’s structure has been restored, the new parts are then installed.
Truck and Sports utility vehicles are repaired back to the manufacturer’s original specification using our Car-O-Liner frame alignment system. This system takes the guesswork out of frame and unibody repair, and we guarantee that it will be returned to you within the manufacture’s tolerances.
Installation of welded parts is critical, and it is especially critical that you choose a quality shop if any welding is required. Every welded part on a car should either be MIG-welded or STRSW welded (the process used by vehicle manufactures.) Our Pro-Spot PR-10 spot welding system duplicates factory STRSW welds (spot welds) so that your vehicle can be truly repaired to pre-accident condition. Few body shops and even dealerships can make this claim. This system is one of the few currently on the market that can produce spot welds strong enough to be approved by many vehicle manufactures and the I-CAR industry.
Sanding, masking and painting are the next step for your vehicle. Highly skilled experts ensure a perfect, quality surface when performing these auto body-refinishing procedures. We use top-quality Sikkens paints, backed by a lifetime, nationwide warranty, for a guaranteed exact color match and showroom finish.
All vehicles are sprayed in our CMC, downdraft spray booth for a baked-on finish that utilizes the same process the manufacturer does.
