Dubai’s Police Department has a Fleet of Supercars
Have you ever wondered what type of police force patrols the streets in Dubai, one of the wealthiest cities in the world? Located on the Persian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is known for its glamorous, over-the-top lifestyle. In a city that has a seven-star hotel, an ATM that dispenses gold bars and a $400 million indoor ski park, Dubai’s police fleet also fits in with this luxury image.
Check out this amazing list of vehicles, brought to you by South Hill Collision. Our local police department here in Puyallup, WA surely does not have cars like this in their fleet, but of course, our average income isn't the highest in the world, like in Dubai.
If you see one of the force’s green and white vehicles, pay close attention because it won’t necessarily be one of the Chevys, Mazdas, Nissans or Toyotas that make up the rest of the fleet. A few years ago, the Dubai police department began acquiring high-performance luxury cars, such as a Bentley, McLaren and Porsche.
Estimated to cost several millions of dollars in total, these supercars are among the fastest in the world. However, chances are that you won’t see them in hot pursuit or at a traffic accident. They are mainly used to patrol tourist areas and often make an appearance at special events. This has helped the Dubai police force be seen as more accessible to the public.
The exotic cars have become very popular, and the photographs and videos taken by the public have millions of views online.
