The Giant Vending Machine That Dispenses Cars

Off Interstate 270 in Gaithersburg, MD there is an odd looking glass building that dispenses...cars. It's the tenth of these giant vending machines owned by the company Carvana and it works just like any of its coin-operated cousins.

In fact, the mechanisms behind the building are completely automated. You put in your payment and your car is grabbed and delivered to you automatically. The whole process takes about twenty minutes from payment to getting into your new ride. 

As an incentive, Carvana has even offered to give up to $200 in airfare and ground transportation to purchase from their D.C. based machine. 

While it may sound like a novelty, Carvana is taking their business model extremely seriously. If successful, who knows? Some day soon we may be making all of our purchases from giant glass vending machines.
