The whole experience has been a joke. Here is a sampling of what has gone wrong so far (it’s still not fixed). The damage to the car was caused by a wheel that was in the road that I couldn’t avoid. The accident caused damage to the bumper, the underside of the car and a panel located below the drivers side door, as well as potentially knocking the wheels out of alignment.
- My wife bought the car in for an estimate since I was at work. I wanted to know how much it would be so I could decide whether to file an insurance claim or pay myself. She was told it would be more than $2,000 and that he would email me an estimate later that day. I still didn’t get an estimate by the next day so I called and left a message asking for the estimate. He never called back so I stopped in at Fuller’s to see him. He said he was working on the estimate and would get it to me the next day. I never did receive it. He also booked my repair for January 14. Based on the verbal $2,000 quote, I filed an insurance claim.
- I bring the car in on the 14th. I review the damage with him and ask him how long it will take. He says it should be ready on Thursday (the 17th). On Wednesday I get a text message telling me it won’t be ready until the 23rd!
- The text message also had a link to an estimate (not a detailed one). The estimate was only for $****,100- not the $2,000+ that he told my wife. If I knew it was $****,100 I might not have filed a claim.
- Got a message today that the car was ready so I go to pick it up. I review the repairs with your rep. I asked him if they did an alignment (prior to the accident I had just bough 4 new tires and had a full alignment and I was told a new alignment would be done in case the accident had thrown the car out of alignment). He checked and found the alignment wasn’t done. While he was checking, I looked over the car and found that some of the work - the damaged panel below the driver's side door was not done even though that had been reviewed when I dropped the car off.
The rep promised to get it fixed - I’m expecting him to get back to me with a date to bring the car back to replace the panel and do the alignment. This is of course an inconvenience to have to bring the car back again for you to do the work you should have done in the first place, especially since you had the car for 5 days longer than was estimated.
The whole experience has been poor from day one and it’s still not finished yet. I can’t see why I would ever get work done at your business again.
