Family Motors fixed the exterior but NOT the interior. Upon pickup & after payment, I noticed that my dashboard had the orange 'Vehicle Stability Assist' light on. The technician, Enrique, told me ' it's ok, you just need to fuel up the tank'. I let him know that I was concerned bc my tank was not empty when vehicle was originally towed to the shop. Also that I needed to drive 4 hrs north to get home. He didn't seemed concerned. I then went to fill up my tank @ the gas station. Upon fill-up, the ' malfunction indicator lamp came on' which the manual said was dangerous since driving could damage engine. I called Family Motors and spoke to Enrique about my concerns but he said that it was fine. That didn't feel right it safe, so I decided to drive it to the nearest Honda dealership about 2 miles away. On the way there, my accelerator wouldn't go more than 30 miles per hour & when I reached the dealership, the engine shut off, coolant was leaking and steam was coming out of front vents. I was unable to restart car bc battery was dead. Upon reboot, car would still not start & car had to be manually pushed to Honda service center. Family Motors DID NOT repair the damage they agreed to fix and may have caused further damage by having me drive an un-repaired van. Enrique was friendly but entirely incompetent and gave bad advice. He put me, my children & my pets in danger. I can't imagine what would have happened if I did not listen to myself & just followed his advice & took my car onto the freeway. I highly suggest that you re-evaluate the skills and competency of the technicians working on the vehicles. I am quite shocked at the POOR quality of the work & unprofessional service/advice given, especially if it was a designated Farmers insurance body repair shop. Since I was 4 hrs south of where I lived, I trusted Family Motots bc of the fact that it was Farmers Certified. My family's safety was severely compromised. I am just grateful that I took it to the dealership when I did. Please check credentials of staff @ Family Motors- particularly Enrique G¡lvez, Jr. It was an extremely negative experience. If it wasn't for our Farmers Agent, Matk Matias ( who is extremely professional & helpful) this experience would have made me switch to another auto insurance company. Family
Motors really needs to be looked at. On a side note, at the Honda dealership, don't on who lived in Bakersfield noted that Family
motors is known for 'repairing exterior frames and outside stuff- they're not technicians'. If that is the case, then they should not be misrepresenting themselves by doing repair work for which they are unqualified. POOR SERVICE!!!!

I was very impressed with the entire staff of Family Motors. The ladies at the front desk were warm and sharp. I would like to thank the Farmers Insuance rep who inspected my BMW. I was worried about Farmers covering the expense of using OEM parts on my car. He immediately put me at ease by informing me of the BMW policy of price matching on their replacement parts. In the end, both of my BMW's were fixed to the same high degree of quality as the BMW factory. Yes I will pashonately recommend Family Motors to whom ever I know or meet. Thank you.

Everyone was amazing! I walked in there and they were fast and took care of me. The best part was that it was a one stop place. After being in a car accident, I thought I was going to have to coordinate a ride to the car rental place and have to also contact my insurance company. It was none of that. I walked in, they called a ride for me from the rental place and they submitted all my paperwork to my insurance company. All in about 20 min. When my car was ready I was happy to hear their work is guaranteed for a life time. Will definitely recommend to anybody needing repair. So thankful Farmers Insurance deals with them.
