Brought my car in for some knocking, possible front end alignment, got a call to say that the car is not safe to drive, I understood that and believed that to be true due to my experience driving the car, they told me that the price would be $1500 and i I still might hear some noise, I was then told that the brakes was good, but in all fairness I was told that during the process they might find something else. Paying $1500 I was hopeful to not hear any more noise. I received a second call and like most places they began to tell about a mountain of things that was found, I was disappointed to hear about the problems with my brakes after initially telling me that they looked good. So with the initial $1500 that I’m paying for the front end problems or whatever it was, now to fix the brakes and I mean only the rear brakes the price went up to over $2600, you mean you are charging me over $1100 to fix rear brakes only. I told them that I would pass on that . In my opinion this was Waaaaaay over priced . I checked around after that and discovered that I could get a complete brak job front and back with the leak that I was told that I had, for $600. Discount tired is suppose to be just that , discount , there is nothing discount about this place , going someplace else for my brake repair .

I spoke with the owner about the overall finish of the job. He made it “right”by giving me half my money back, but that doesn’t mean that I’m happy with the quality of work that still exists on my car. I would not be recommending this shop to anyone and I will urge all current and future customers to perform their own quality check after they get their car worked on by alameda auto body. I will also mention my experience through other review sites such as yelp and Google. If the owner called me picky but at the same time admitted that the work was substandard then I don’t know what else to do. However, I will note this on my future reviews. Hopefully your shop double checks your auto body painters work from now on before releasing the car to its customers. If the job isn’t right then redo it properly the second time. Unlike in my case, the second time was still no good.

The repair work was great! The communication regarding status and when my car would be ready was not. The texting system has some problems and never communicated actual status and the woman answering the phone wasn’t helpful. Unfortunately this started the day of my appointment when I showed up, after receiving confirmation of the appointment the prior week, when I was told the part had not arrived and I had to reschedule. The day of the new schedule, after dropping my car off, the system sent me multiple welcoming texts but no updates and I did not receive any updates from the system or a person the second day so I had no idea on how much longer it was going to take. I did appreciate that my car was detailed and the additional charges for requested buffing out some paint scratches were waived!

I am satisfy with your work but National General Insurance Company is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. They were bought by Allstate. I will complain to my insurance about them being CHEAP, CHEAP. CHEAP.

Rude customer services, forceful unwanted services, not well repaired prior pickup, not well explained detail prior signing, blaming customer responsibility, blackmailing customer, huge restoration & breaking down fee without telling customer beforehand. Never comeback!

They lack in communication. When I dropped off my car for estimates, I was told I would be called later in the day with the price, but never got a call. I had to call them that day to request the estimate. When I picked up my car, I was told they would call me about when I can drop off my car for repair. They never called. The only reason I knew they had scheduled me because I got a text saying my appointment for the car’s estimate was cancelled. I called and asked why it was cancelled and that’s when I was told because they had to cancel that appointment in order for them to schedule a different appointment for me. But never was I informed of the day and time for repairs if I hadn’t called them about the cancelled previous appointment. I also got a voicemail saying my car may be ready on Friday and if it gets finished sooner, they will call me. I NEVER got a call If it was actually ready for pick up. I picked up my car on Monday. Then my insurance emailed me asking why my rental was returned late because apparently, the rental company was informed that my car was ready on Thursday. Had they called me on Thursday as they said they would (since it is the day sooner than the tentative finish date), I would have picked up my car then.
