Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Status updates by phone or email were frequent and on target. E.g., Nadine's communications were timely and always very pleasant. And the quality of the work is outstanding; my rear bumper looks beautiful. A service overall. Highly recommend, and would use ABE without hesitation, if needed. The whole process was very frustrating and inefficient. I was told and also filled out paperwork saying I would get daily updates called or emailed to me, in 5 business days of my car sitting at Autobody Excellence I got one update. The other days I was waiting to hear about the estimate and status when I eventually called in myself late in the day to get some information. I had also already had estimates done by other repair shops that took approximately 10-15min each, I had been told immediately on the inspector looking at my bumper that it would need to be replaced. I did pass on this information from previous inspections to two different people at Autobody Excellence while setting up for my repairs. Unfortunately a previous estimate had not been done with a USAA contracted shop and if I wanted to go outside of those I would need to pay the 1000 pricetag on my own and would later be reimbursed, this just wasnt an option for me. I went with Autobody Excellence so that the insurance company could pay them directly. When I called to schedule an estimate I was told that I would leave my car there where they would do the estimate, let me know the timeline and work required, then do the repair all in one time frame. I even specifically asked if I could have the estimate ahead of time to avoid leaving my car until it was ready to be repaired and I was told thats not how it worked. So after my car sitting at Autobody Excellence for over 48hrs I finally received the estimate that a new bumper would need to be ordered and once the new bumper came in they would paint it, reassemble it that day and I would be able to pick it up at the end of the day. This is just bad business and not good customer service. My car sat at Autobody Excellence for an entire week to get repairs that took actually less than one business day. This whole experience was caused by an incompetent driver hitting me, at no fault of my own, and then I had to deal with the hassel of working with Autobody Excellence who only added to the frustration of the situation. I would never bring my car here again nor would I recommend Autobody Excellence to anyone I know. People in stressful situations such as having car accidents or whatever mishap that leads to needing costly car repairs, no matter whose at fault, should be able to count on and respect those that they intrust with their time and the safety of their vehicles. Autobody Excellence really does not stand up to the name and made a bad situation much worse in my case.
