Comedian Crashes Bugatti Veyron Right After Buying It

During the summer, comedian and actor Tracy Morgan made some major headlines when he was involved in a collision involving his brand-new $2.1 million Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport just several minutes after buying it and driving it off the lot in New York City.

At Class Auto Center in Long Beach, CA, we have fixed some new vehicles, but the car was in its owner’s possession for only a few minutes!

"Thanks, everybody, for being concerned, but I want people to know that I am totally fine," Tracy tweeted one later after the crash. "My new car? We shall see." A few days after the incident, a new report revealed how much it's going to cost to fix a very high-end luxury sports car.

The mishap was nothing more than a fender bender when a 61-year-old woman behind the wheel of a Honda CR-V ran into the side of Tracy's Bugatti as both were preparing to turn right onto an NYC street. According to TMZ "fixing a scratch in a Bugatti is an equivalent of plunking down enough money to purchase the vehicle that sideswiped it."

According to TMZ, there is some positive news—it turns out that there's no structural damage to Morgan’s new ride. But there is also some bad news-- replacing the damaged front bumper alone will cost roughly $22,000. Add to that another ten grand to replace the damaged fender on the driver’s side quarter panel, and that does not include the labor.

The NY woman who hit Tracy, Jocelyn Madulid, said that the accident wasn't her fault to any degree. "I was driving along causing no one problems. All of a sudden, I heard somebody hit my car. I felt the boom and I was a little shocked," she said. "We were both turning right and people were still crossing [the street]. He was the one who hit me; it was his fault, no doubt."

Even though she’s adamant, TMZ reported that she did actually cause the crash. Coincidentally, an NYPD traffic agent was right on the corner when the fender bender took place and witnessed the accident.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ the Honda collided struck the Bugatti as Tracy prepared to make a fully legal turn onto 10th Avenue off of 42nd Street. The Honda went to turn too but did not have the right of way, law enforcement sources said to TMZ.

It's partially unclear if the woman who hit the former "30 Rock" star will have to pay the repairs herself or if her insurance company will take care of the costs to repair both her and Tracy's vehicles.
