Ford To Build Standalone Lincoln Dealerships

After a tumultuous last decade, Ford is poised to double down with their luxury brand. 

Despite near collapse five years ago, Ford executives are now urging twinned dealerships to build standalone Lincoln dealerships to take advantage of the renewed demand for luxury models.

This is a calculated move for Ford, whose research has determined that they will sell far more units in a standalone dealership. From previous experiences in their 30 major U.S. markets, sales have increased in independent dealerships by up to 48% over 3 years. 

Robert Parker, Lincoln's head of marketing, was quoted as saying "Customers expect the environment to be equal to the product. They want to buy a luxury product in a luxury environment." We at Sands Collision Center agree. I personally find it encouraging to have more options in a larger showroom devoted to the specific make I'm looking for. This is especially true when shopping for a high-end vehicle. Hopefully we'll see a devoted Lincoln showroom open near us in Glendale, AZ.

The Lincoln lineup for next year is going to have some impressive offerings. This combined with their beautifully decorated and lit showrooms put Ford in a great position. To that effect, Robert Parker was: "The next phase of the transformation is critical. This is probably the biggest two years in Lincoln's history."
