I was shocked and frustrated with the difficulty I had with securing an OEM part for my car. Upon leaving my carcar for repair, I expressly requested notification on whether I would receive an OEM door. I received no such notification. Instead, I received an estimate that included the cost of an after-market door. Only after I inquired about the type of door was I informed that it was after-market. After discovering that the door was after-market, I was informed that I would have to pay an extra $80 for the OEM door. Period. After I agreed to pay it and expressed my dissatisfaction, I then received a call later in the day informing me that the OEM door manufacturer price-matched. This sequence of events was deceptive and unappreciated. I understand that every business has to make a profit, but a company should do do transparently, especially after a customer has expressed interest. Since this question asked about “my overall repair experience,” the above has been shared irrespective of whether Geico and/or Classic played a role.
