Two things concern me, one was there is some sort of residue or discoloration on my side mirror that I know wasn’t there prior to having the work done. I’m going to try some cleaner and see if it will rub off, or if it’s possibly overspray or some other type of damage. The second issue I have is that the are a bunch of “pits” scattered around the hood. It was my understanding that the entire hood was getting painted, which would have taken care of any imperfections that were there before. If these marks were even caused by something that was there before, or they could be a flaw with the work. I’m not familiar enough with the trade to look at it and determine a cause. However, I expressed my concerns to the person who gave me my car back and they pretty much dismissed my concerns saying that the chips were rock bruises that were there before, which doesn’t make sense because some marks are right near where the repaired damaged was and would have had to be painted to fix what needed to be fixed because they were so close together. And as far as the issue with the mirror, they basically wet their thumb and rubbed it a little, which did nothing, and said that it’s just sun damage or something like that. But no other area on my car has anything like that on it, I use a specific product on all plastic pieces to keep them uv protected and looking nice so I doubt that’s the real issue.
