The people at Special Interest are very nice and personable. I appreciated the calm demeanor and the interest in customer service. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a staffing issue the last day my car was there. The person responsible for the final touches was missing for an unknown amount of time. It was dark outside, when I picked it up, and there wasn't time for Special Interest or GEICO to inspect it. There are cosmetic issues (such as white flecks of paint on the vehicle, bright pink paint on the windshield, possible dents) that I didn't initially see in the dark, and some issues with the detailing (spotless in some areas, weird white residue on the back seats). The headlight that was the main problem works perfectly so far(thanks), but there are other issues and I'm not sure the car was put together correctly. The inside of the glove box seems particularly warm and dusty, as if stuff from the engine is getting inside it. GEICO certainly did not inspect it, before I picked it up. I suspect Special Interest would make it right, just based on the demeanor of the employees (absent the missing one), but I live too far away to come and go repeatedly. It's a three hour trip and I can't be without a vehicle. As I didn't pay for detailing, I'm not very concerned about the cosmetic issues. Those are just annoying. However, it's aggravating to pay out-of-pocket for things insurance should have covered. I'm not sure what else I can do under the circumstances. If Special Interest has suggestions about what I should do (especially about the white paint flecks - will those come off or does the car need to be repainted?), I would appreciate it. However, I primarily wish that Special Interest had just admitted that they needed more time with my car and let me go home in the terrible rental car for the weekend, instead of getting my hopes up and leaving me with a half-finished white-spotted pink-stained car with electrical issues. One more trip to pick up a thoroughly-inspected car would have been worth it. More trips to maybe fix something that wasn't caught the first time is a huge hassle and gamble.

From start to finish, I was kept in the loop with all repairs and progress. The customer service all involved was so friendly and explained every step.
