I was given an estimate that the repair work would be completed in two days. You called on the day I was supposed to pick up my vehicle and said the fenders needed to be blended with the front bumper and it would an additional day. You also stated all was good with State Farm and they approved the additional work. It was two days later and I was informed the vehicle was ready (a day longer than I was told it would take, and two days longer than the original estimate). The additional $400+ for blending the fenders and new emblems were included on my invoice and you said everything would be billed to State Farm because I had zero deductible. After taking the vehicle home I looked at the fenders and it was obvious they had not been touched. I drove back to your facility to find out where the confusion was. I was told that the State Farm adjuster didn't approve the blending and that the $400+ wouldn't be on the invoice sent to State Farm. I asked for a new invoice and was told it would be emailed to me right away, it wasn't.
I called State Farm and they said the additional money was approved and you had already billed them for it. They informed me there was no "adjuster" and no notes on the file to indicate any reason why the blending wouldn't be completed.
So my question would be: Is this an honest mistake or is this a case of you fraudulently over billing insurance?
