Whistleblower Accuses Tesla of Spying On Employees
A recently fired Tesla employee has turned whistleblower, filing a statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Karl Hansen has stated that Tesla has installed equipment to spy on their employees in their factory near Reno, Nevada. The equipment in question supposedly decrypts cell phone conversations so Tesla employees can listen in. This wasn't the only allegation in the statement, either.
Hansen also alleges that Tesla failed to disclose upsetting incidents that occurred within the factory to investors. One claim is that over $37 million in copper and other materials were stolen from the factory. Another was that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration sent written notice to Tesla about one of their employees possibly selling methamphetamine and cocaine on behalf of a Mexican drug cartel through the factory.
Another former employee, Martin Tripp, is represented by the same lawyer as Hansen and claims that Tesla is inflating their production numbers and using substandard and outright faulty parts in their vehicle construction.
These allegations were made after Tripp was fired and sued by Tesla for hacking into their internal systems and copying trade secrets.
Tesla has issued rebuttals stating that the complaints are completely false and that the complainants are misleading investigators.
Here at Fix Auto Highlands Ranch in Littleton, CO hope that is the case, and that Tesla had no part in any wrongdoing.
