Tesla Chooses New Chair

A new chair has been chosen in the wake of Elon Musk's forced stepping down, and many are viewing the decision as a step in the right direction. Much beloved but admittedly "quirky," Musk remains the CEO of Tesla but had to relinquish his position as chair after the SEC found that he had made "false and misleading" statements to investors. Now we can welcome in Robyn Denholm, who was previously a Tesla board member and tech executive. 

"To ensure a smooth transition during the remainder of Robyn's time at Telstra, Elon will be a resource to Robyn and provide any support that she requests in her role as Chair," a representative from Tesla said in a news release. "Robyn will continue to provide the necessary focus and time to Telstra during the remainder of her time there, and she will also temporarily step down as Chair of Tesla's Audit Committee until she leaves Telstra."

Robyn certainly has an impressive resume, with some of her previous positions held with Sun Microsystems and Juniper Networks. What many are looking at as her most valuable trait is stability, as she is known to be calculating and even in her decision-making process. It will be interesting to see how she interacts with Musk, who is considered to be more of a "dreamer." 

"I look forward to working even more closely with Robyn as we continue accelerating the advent of sustainable energy," Musk recently said in a statement.
