I was told by the mechanic that only the dealership could fix the side camera on the mirror I had replaced. When I spoke to my insurance adjustor, I was told that it's customary for the shop to have gotten the car to the dealership in such a situation so the customer doesn't have to make another trip. I now have to take additional time off work to get to the dealership to finish the work that should've been completed in one step, essentially. There is a 98 charge to me at the dealership to have the camera aimed, an additional cost that I may not have necessarily had to incur had things been done correctly.
I will say, Christina was excellent. Great customer service. Glad I didn't listen to Stephanie who told me the job would only take 20 minutes. It took an hour and still isn't completed due to the camera issue.
