I was disappointed that some of the damage was not covered or repaired due to the work not being able to be warranted. I asked repeatedly to have it painted so that it would not rust,but was told to have it repaired elsewhere. I have been a customer for over 20 years and will most likely have my repair needs done elsewhere.

I was concerned geico would potentially cause problems with the repair itself, only thing was we had an electrical issue that was never really addressed, but **** may have been dropped on mine or geico’s side of things. The staff support started off well with initial followup. The drop-off, evaluation, and estimate when fine.
The point where the communications failed was on the announced delivery day. I received a call first thing Tuesday morning to let me know that the painting was done and the assembly was in-progress. They expected the car to be complete and through QA by early afternoon and would give me a call to pick it up.
Since I had a number of errands to attend to I adjusted my schedule to be in the Escondido area in the afternoon. I called at 3:00pm to check on the status and was told it should be ready in about an hour to an hour and a half. I stopped in at 4:30pm and was told by the person at the counter that it wouldn’t be done until Wednesday and that everyone had gone home. She wasn’t happy that I stopped in.
The failure here was that I did not receive a follow-up call that the car would NOT be ready after all. Clearly it works for Henson to tell the customer when it will be ready. Where it fails the customer is when you set an expectation (the a.m. call that it will be ready) and then fail to call to say “sorry, it won’t be ready”.
So, I wasted my time trying to maximize my driving efficiency in the afternoon and rush hour and had to return the next morning to get my car.
My customer service motto has always been under-promise and over-deliver. The morning call SHOULD have said that the car was in progress BUT may not be ready until Wednesday, and follow-up with an afternoon call verifying that it would not be ready (or surprise me that it would be ready ahead of time).
