I would prefer a direct phone call. It's 7:30 pm and I still don't know whether or not my vehicle is ready for pickup. I strongly suggest ditching this system and directly calling the customer on the status of their vehicle. If you are in the customer relations business please simplify the communications and simply call the customer directly.
