Actor Mark Wahlberg Purchases Chevy Dealership
Along with his long time friend Jay Feldman, CEO of Feldman Automotive Group the Transformers and Ted star purchased Bobby Layman Chevrolet of Columbus, Ohio. Renaming it Wahlberg Chevrolet, the pair immediately began the process of turning it into an upscale dealership with a focus on maintaining the business' unprecedented customer service.
"It was a dealership that came up that had a great facility, that had a great reputation," Feldman said.
Their facility does a brisk business, moving about 200 new and used vehicles a month from the 15 1/2 acre, 70,000 square foot dealership. For Feldman, this is the ninth dealership in his Feldman Automotive Group holdings. The pair also jointly own several Wahl burgers locations.
Wahlberg made a release statement on his Instagram page, stating:
"Let me tell you something: With hard work, dreams come true. I've always been a car fanatic. Now, I'm able to be part of such an amazing, iconic American brand."
"I'm so blessed. Make sure you come check it out. Wahlberg Chevrolet, Columbus, Ohio. And I'll be there soon."
