Haulers Insurance was established in 1986 as a regional property and casualty insurance company, offering a broad array of personal and commercial automobile products and services. For more than 29 years, our operations have spread beyond Tennessee to include Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Professionally owned and operated independent insurance agencies provide our insurance products to customers with exceptional service and advice. Over 700 independent agencies represent HICI today. In 2008, Haulers Insurance Company became part of the Shelter Insurance™ group of companies, one of the nation’s leaders in providing sound insurance and financial products and services since 1946, currently writing over $1.2 billion in premium and backed up by over $1.5 billion in policyholder surplus.
