I was texted on April 20, April 23, April 26, and April 27th that my car would be ready on May 4th. On May 1st I got a text that if any delays were encountered I would be called. On May 4th I drove from 90 miles out of town to get my car in the morning. By 230pm I hadn't heard anything, my boyfriend gets off work in Durham around 330 so I was already WAY late to pick him up. Keep in mind I'm in a rental truck that gets around 16 miles to the gallon. So, at 240pm I finally called the shop and spoke to Michelle. She said she would call me back. Called me back at 4:24 to tell me my car would not be ready until Monday. I called her back around 10 min later to inform her about my gasband milage situation, and asked if I could get some money off the price since the error was on thier part and I shouldn't have to eat that cost. She told me she would speak to her manager and call me back Monday. Monday morning around 748am I got a text saying my car would be ready May 7 at 340 pm. I rushed from Chapel Hill to pick up my mom so she could drive that truck when I picked up my car.I called Carstar body shop around 445 to tell them I was running behind and to please wait for me, had my mom in the truck with me. Michelle puts me on a brief hold (she never called me that day as she previously said she would) and then told me my car would not be ready until the following day. I reiterated to her that I am a full time student, unemployed, single mom, and that I cannot afford the 60 or 80 dollars it takes to make that trip for no reason, again she told me she would speak to her manager. I called my insurance agent Tuesday before I even left Chapel Hill to ask if I could just get it in the morning and not be late picking my boyfriend up from work. He said no, your car is ready, you must turn rental in today. So Michelle called me at 247pm to tell me the car was ready. She also informed me that the manager said he would not reduce the cost AT ALL, even though the errors had been COMPLETLEY on thier part. I took every dollar I had, borrowed some money from someone else, and gassed up that truck AGAIN to pick my boyfriend up in Durham and then fly down to Wilson. I called and told her I was running behind, she wad nice enough to stay and wait for me until 520. It was also too late to turn the rental truck in so I will have to eat that cost too. Now (the next day, may 9th) the car is pulling hard to the right. The alignment is off. The bumper is not flush with the hood and front quarter panels as it should be. I will be calling my insurance agent shortly (8am) to inform him that even after 2 and a half weeks of having my car, it is not fixed correctly. I am very displeased with the service I received from Carstar auto body shop in Wilson.

I had a small crack in paint in the front of my bumper. Although it wasn’t required for repair, y’all had my bumper off to repaint. It would have taken 5 minutes to buff it out then paint since y’all had to repaint the bumper anyway. Going out if the way for people is huge and it would have made my day for y’all to have done that small gesture. I would not recommend you guys.

Mislead about date vehicle would be ready! Staff seemed unconcerned about my inconvenience! Staff not knowledgeable about what was going on with my truck! I will not return, unless warranty work is needed. Automated email was misinformed!
