Joe Cantu and Shelby Cantu made the recent repairs on my vehicle at Carstar Collision an exceptional and great experience. First, Joe went well out of his way to determine and confirm that my vehicle was damaged by improper application of a degreaser at a local car wash. This information greatly facilitated my insurance claim with State Farm. Second, both Joe and Shelby made sure that I was completely satisfied with the repairs to my vehicle. They listened patiently to all my concerns and fully addressed them. Third, to protect my vehicle from similar chemical damage in the future, Joe had a protective paint sealant applied to my vehicle at no additional cost to me! Without doubt, this is the best customer service that I have ever experienced with an auto paint and body shop in Texas!
I would also like to mention that Jackie, the receptionist, was always pleasant and helpful with booking a rental car for me. The detailing crew also did a great job on my vehicle.
I will definitely be recommending the McAllen Carstar Collision shop to my friends and acquaintances!

Took truck in for a rear bumper swap. NO painting required yet repair took 4-days. Estimated time given was 2-days., Pre inspection was not done properly because when the repair started they were discovering additional parts that were also damaged along with the bumper. These items like the mounting bracket and trailer hitch should of been caught from the beginning. Although the young lady they have as the “damage inspector “ is very courteous and polite, I don’t think she has the proper training to do inspections. The number one reason that I was dissatisfied is because they kept missing the time frame on work completion. They would say “it will be ready by this day and this time” and I would show up and wait and then leave because they would come out and say it needs something else. This is my company truck and affected MY JOB because of it.

Parts were not yet ordered have to return. Paint job grainy and rough can feel material used under and can easily see there is body work. Should have sanded down smoother and clear . Feels riugh not smooth . Bolts missing . Trim warpered and glue looks messy. Last they broke cables to my amp for my sound system that had nothing to do with body work. I was in a hurry to dr appointment and did not pay atterntion till at home..
