When we brought the car in for hail damage repair the back lift gate worked fine. Now it does not open and Hendrick cannot determine
why. It became our responsibility to take the car to a Toyota dealer for a diagnosis. We are awaiting the diagnosis and determination how this wilk be handled.

When the insurance company recommended company couldn't repair the Tesla, Hendrick got the assignment from Allstate. Apparently Hendrick called me and left a message, but the message didn't make it to my phone for 9 days, and no one called again, or sent a text message, so the car just sat in limbo for 9 days. Eventually, because of the over-all stall, I ended up having to fly to my special operations reunion and rent a car, it was a significant cost. I requested some additional body repair at my own expense, since paint was required, I thought $1800 to repair two dings on one panel was way steep, but I just wanted it done and ready when I got off my plane in Charlotte. Since I wasn't going to be back for a couple weeks, I told Todd they could move the car back in the queue and take care of customers that needed their car sooner. The body shop didn't follow Todd's instructions and only fixed one of the dings on the hatch lid and the new paint around the headlight was scraped down to primer during reassembly. Since the car wasn't ready once I got back from Vegas, I had to rent a car and come back in 48 hours. Todd comped the price of the rental off the "out of pocket" repair, but the experience cost me an extra day including getting out of Charlotte in Friday afternoon traffic. Overall, the lack of follow-up and attention to detail cost me at least $1500, denied me the ability to visit friends at planned stops in the Florida Panhandle, Galveston Island and Oklahoma on the cross country legs and a couple of days productivity on a real estate parcel sub-divide I am finishing up. No one person did anything drastically bad, but there were places where quality wasn't up to snuff and follow through wasn't there. I still don't have the "DUAL MOTOR" trim decal for the hatch lid. I asked Todd if I could get the scuffed Wheels that were replaced so I could start building a set of wheels for winter tires. He said they'd been thrown away immediately. You could go a long way toward making this right by finding me a set of straight but cosmetically damaged wheels.
