The work that was done on my car was very good. However,the problem was the way the cost of the work was communicated with me. When I came to pick up the care, I was very surprised at the cost that was shared with me.When was told that I had to pay for the bill before for the work would be done, this surprised me. I do not recall being told that I was paying for half of the bill. I understood I was paying the whole thing. When I received the bill, there was a receipt stapled to it with the amount of
366.94. I was not aware of all of the other sheets attached, so I did not look further. The actual bill was in the middle of the second sheet. I did not see that until I returned home with the car.
When I came to pick up the car, the receptionist gave me the bill with the total amount -733.20. I told her, this is the wrong bill because I charged this bill on my credit card for 366.94. Her response was, "Oh, you paid for only half of it." I waa not told nor did I understand that I was only paying half of the bill. I have never paid half of the bill before hand and I have always known before the work is done, what the totl cost is that is due when the work is done.
I worked with Tom Nolan in this matter. He appears to be a very fine man, is very personable and relates well with the public. He understands his work and what needs to be done. However, all of the facts have to be shared with the cusotomer in a way that is understood. I think he is a wonderful man and is a credit to your business, but he failed on the most importan part of the deal, being sure that I understood everything including the total cost before I left. To communicate, it is necessary that everyone is on the same "sheet of music". So this happens, the one in charge has to check all areas where it could go wrong. Your payment method policy is not common at all.
