Everything was done very well. It made it easy for the customer during these conditions of not having their car. I would definitely recommend Mackens to anyone that needs autobody work on there car.

It took two attempts to try to get it right and the car is still not in the condition it was before the accident, but I was tired of dealing with the process so I just took the car anyway. Your own people could see that it really wasn't right. That is pretty frustrating as I previously had a very good experience with Mackins when I had brought in a car that was much more seriously damaged several years ago.

My comments to my insurer, USAA. I will continue my complaint via telephone as well.
"Please be aware that I am a very unsatisfied customer with the processing of my claim for damage to a 2013 RAV4 and by the service of the auto repair shop recommended by USAA.
I chose Makin's Auto Body, Vancouver, WA from the list of USAA recommended repair shops. After estimating the damage to the vehicle, and providing an estimated delivery date I arranged travel for myself to California and shared the travel dates with the estimator. The delivery date was then pushed back approximately 2 weeks when Maikin's discovered they had failed to find all the damage and needed to order more parts.
Makin's error caused the delivery date to be pushed back into the window of preplanned travel.
While on travel in California, I was notified by voice mail on a Friday that the car was available for pick up on the same day. Because of this short and unreasonable notice, I was not able to arrange for pick up of my vehicle and the return of the rental car until the following Monday. I also believe that Makin is closed on the weekend and I would not have been able to exchange vehicles until the following Monday.
USAA has held me responsible for the rental car charges for Friday through Monday and Makins refused to accept responsibility for the delays. I find that I am being charged for costs that should have been covered by my insurance and for poor quality service by Makin. I ask that USAA reimburse me for the rental car costs and stop recommending Makin Auto Body.
