My husband was in a car accident and a friend our ours referred us to this shop. His family has taken all their vehicles here, and so does he. We have not had the greatest experience with our estimator, Anthony Macias. My husband went to pick up the vehicle and noticed that they damaged our front grille. It already had a small chip in the grille, and when they returned the truck, the chip was triple the size. They had detailed the truck while they were working on it (free of charge and without our consent) and further damaged our grille. When my husband pointed out, to Anthony, the fact that they had caused the damage to nearly triple in size, his response was, " That's what happens when the paint has already chipped.". I fully understand the fact that once paint has a chip or crack in it, that it will tend to spread and lift surrounding areas of paint. However, without any amount of force being applied to the crack, chip, or surrounding area by anything more than what would occur naturally from the truck being stored and/or repaired from the accident, it is physically impossible that the damaged area to the grille can triple in size. He continued to defend his, and auto body expressions', position that the existing damage was inevitably going to spread and result in the same amount of damage that they created, and therefore, wasn't their responsibility. In addition to the issues with them causing existing damage to worsen on our truck, there were also problems with the repairs that were executed. They had to repaint the driver side of the vehicle because of the accident, and there were obvious drip marks on the paint from it running as it dried. This should have been noticed and corrected by any auto body shop professional, before the return of the vehicle. Also, there was black paint from the impact across the driver side bed, which was noted in the initial inspection by Anthony Macias, and remained when Anthony attempted to return the vehicle.They failed to do a proper inspection and attempted to return our truck, not only without informing us of the damage that they caused to worsen, but also didn't remove obvious marks caused by the accident. My husband had to wait for the shop to buff out the paint drips and remaining scuff marks for 20 minutes, after they had the truck for two weeks. This went through our insurance company and we are reaching out to them to let them know the unpleasant experience we received when this is a Geico Certified Dealer.
