I was sent text messages making me believe it was on track to being completed on a certain day. I arranged for a ride and took off work early to get to the shop before closing time. I arranged to take the loaner car back. 3 hours before I was to pick up my car I was told it wouldn’t be ready until a week later. I missed the first three days of a long planned vacation and lost money and time due to the incorrect information being related. In the future I would suggest not sending automated incorrect updates as people believe them and plan around the information.
