I am satisfied with the work that was done as well as the communication regarding car repair status. But I was annoyed that when I picked up my car all of my belongings that were originally in my trunk were tossed into the back seat. I had originally asked if it were necessary for me to clear it out and was told no. Had I known I would have removed the belongings rather than have them thrown into the back seat. And I would have at least appreciated it if they put it back. Also when I picked it up the car REEKED of paint. I've had extensive repair work done previously and I've never experienced that odor before. When Leah took me out to my car she began explaining the repairs that were done on my car, however was pointing to my rental car...there seemed to be some miscommunication as to certain things within the shop. Worked mostly with Todd, who was fantastic. Very communicative and clear.

Honestly this would be like a 9/10 stars. I stopped receiving updates and it toke almost a month for everything to be resolved. I may have stopped receiving updates but the minute I left after I picked up the car I was quick to reiceve an update and a survey saying the car was picked up.

So I just want to start with the repair and after repair "detail" was absolute garbage and definitely not what expected even though Carstar is the "McDonald's" of auto body shops, that's beside the point. So when I came to pick up my car the walk around was nothing more than them telling me "there's your car" and "oh we didn't put on the scion trunk overlay but it's in the backseat you can install it". But when I stepped in the car I was greeted by a cheap dealership smell of 5 minute detailer. They must have had 3 minutes before giving me the car to lather and wipe as fast as they can this cheap McGuire's leather cleaned anywhere they could even on my steering wheel and radio for that fact. (Which by the way I'm in the detailing business and know that chemical guys or Armor all can do better than that ****) anyways after the grueling drive home with the aroma of 5 minute detailer I get home and inspect the car as others would do and I see that a tech left a matco trim removal tool in m8y trunk where is shuts. Also they paint and blending they did was to there point where I see the ending of the "blend" and I see they left a large blemish on the quarter panel. I'm not at all satisfied and this is a complete utter **** fail at Auto body repair and I expect the car to be professionally detailed and for the blemish and paint to be re-done with a brand new bumper not the old one as I can tell they re-used by the markings I write on the inside before repairs started. This is a huge let down and I want to just mention that although the repairs were a fail the customer service and the people handing all the claims and communication were nice.

We were assured that JCS could get work completed on our car prior to our daughter leaving for college with the vehicle. We gave the timeline, yet a week before her departure, we hadn't been contacted although our part that we paid for was in. I called and explained the situation and was again assured that once the piece was painted, it would take less than an hour to install. Finally we were contacted to have it installed. The earliest we could get in was the day before the car was being driven off to college. Again, we were told an hour. I dropped off the car at 8am and was to be called when it was completed. I quickly received a call that the piece had been scratched and they needed to fix. This ended up taking an additional 7 hours. We had other appts for the car that day - new tires - since the next day was departure for college. I am convinced the piece had not been painted prior to our arrival, so JCS was not ready for the hour long appt to install. This was a huge inconvenience for us. Despite numerous face to face explanations, phone calls, etc. with our time frame, it didn't see like anyone there kept track or cared. We were unable to keep our afternoon tire installation appt and will have to replace during a school break. Very unfortunate.

You had my car for 30 days when you initially said 10. Simply not acceptable! It cost me hundreds of dollars in car rental costs and incredible stress juggling car use for my family. You promised completion multiple times only to push back the date based on a variety of excuses. If you were so busy and short handed you should have not taken my car when you did. It was drivable and I would have gladly waited for the repairs to begin when you had the capacity to complete the job timely. Your representative Leah was very rude when I expressed my concerns and frustrations during the process. A little bit of courtesy during this fiasco would have gone a long way in easing my frustration level. Other than that, I have no complaints about the work. But this has been such a poor experience that I will never use your shop again and will not recommend it to others.

The paint job was excellent! However, I cancelled my clients appointments on Sunday and spent 5 hrs cleaning the inside of the car. There was black dust from the sanding EVERYWHERE; every surface, vertical/horizontal, had dust on it. Every nook and cranny had dust in it. I threw away the seat covers and cushions. If I had been forewarned I would have covered all surfaces. It was truly overwhelming! Is that your normal procedure?
