It took 23 calendar days to repair my car. For the exact same work, it only took 7-10 calendar days to repair my cars when I lived near Washington DC. And the updates I received were vague and then I stopped receiving updates about 10 days ago. Maybe they went to my spam folder but I checked and didn’t find anything there. And when I asked to do a cost comparison with OEM parts from Honda versus getting them from junked and totaled Honda vehicles, I was told it would take a while because they had to look up each and every part. I find that highly suspicious because I was told they had already done a cost comparison and none of the Honda OEM parts were priced low enough to put on my car. So I called a friend of mine that owns 6 collision centers in the DC area and he told me that if an actual comparison was done, it would have been easy to give me a price comparison by each and every part number because the only way to compare junked parts to new OEM parts is to use actual PART NUMBERS. I worked for the Maytag Corporation as a District Service Manager for 15 years and oversaw over 500 independent and chain stores that did their own service and warranty work. And the only way to do a cost comparison with non OEM, third party parts was to research each and every part by using a factory part number. When I asked for this comparison, I was fully expecting a cost breakdown by each part number. Instead, I was told the OEM parts were roughly $600 more than the junked parts put on my car. So if a real and true comparison by part number was done, the information I requested should have been readily available. I am not convinced they actually compared each part to OEM parts by Honda.
