I’ve experienced nothing but bad at Vann York and will in the future take my buying and repairs to another dealer ! You need to look into better customer service and relationships with your customers ! The customers pay your bills your people need to understand they work for me, I don’t work for you ! Customer service is killing business everywhere and it’s killing Vann York as well ! People think because they been with a company along time there set, they forgot they still have a job to do ! Make your employees understand that ! They cost me time and money but apparently they think that’s ok, nothing out of there pockets or Vann York’s pocket. Keep operating like that and eventually it will show up ! Bad news always travels faster than good news does, remember that !

When a car is damaged, it is supposed to be restored to the original condition. I felt the whole time like Vann York was working for the insurance company, not me, the customer. I refused the car at first because the lift gate needed to be aligned and the exhaust tip was still damaged. When I came back, the lift gate was still not even on both sides and while they tightened the exhaust tip, they did not replace the damaged one. There was visible damage still existing on the exhaust tip and the car was only 6 weeks old. I hope I don’t need a body shop in the future and if I do, it will not be Vann York Paint and Collision.

The repairs that were done on our car were done very well, but someone went through the console and took all our change except the pennies. Also everything was in a different place than it was when we dropped it off. It makes us wonder about the character of the techs that our car was entrusted with. I had to wait extra 2-3 weeks because a part was on backorder. Then, when the repair was finally done I was told that the roof molding piece needed replacement and it was also on backorder. I was told the molding piece would arrive around 9/29 and I would be contacted. It was a week past the 29th and still no contact, so I tried calling the rep assigned and left vmail and also sent email. Still waiting to hear back.

We were unhappy that we had to wait for parts to arrive. Though Vann York let us drive the car even before repairs were complete, the repair was not completed for a total of 8 weeks. Personal at Vann York were helpful though not very good about returning calls. I think they were as frustrated as I was that parts were not available from Honda.

I do not need a call to discuss. The actual repair work was done to my satisfaction. Communications about the repair left a lot to be desired. Had I not called I would not have even known when my appointment was; no one called to tell me. I had to call several times for updates on the repair status, and even to find out when my car was ready. I understand the short staffing but that doesn't mean communications could not have been significantly better. I felt like I was in the dark the whole time.
