My van was hit by a Uhaul and the back window completely shattered, there was A huge scratch on the side as well. When I picked up my van it looked brand new and clean. I didn’t see any damages. I am perfectly satisfied with the repair work done on my car. I was also very satisfied and pleased in my dealings/contact with Gerald Cushman and the Geico Adjuster, Joe Wilder. Both were very pleasant and professional. My dealings with two young women at the front desk, however were not the same. On Wednesday afternoon I was called by one of them to pick up my car. It was ready. I got there at the height of early evening traffic, during a torrential downpour. My car was not ready. I had been called and given incorrect information. Mistakes happen. I understand. I was not upset, however, the way I was treated by the young woman who took care of me (first desk inside the door), was extremely unnecessary and unacceptable. She was short, abrupt, and acted as if it was my error or my fault, not Cushman’s. It seemed that she and the other young woman at the 2nd desk were having some kind of disagreement. They were very obviously angry with each other, and I took the brunt of their anger. I even pleasantly said to her right after I got there and it was obvious there was a problem, “Take a deep breath.” She made no eye contact with me, ignored my supportive comment, and just stormed around the office, rifling through folders, paperwork, etc. This almost confrontational exchange was neither appropriate or professional! In such a position where customer service should be the #**** priority, there was no evidence of any! I couldn’t help but think, how sad they are both so young to be so miserable at their job. My suggestion would be that they both adjust their attitudes and become more customer friendly, (at least on the outside), or they change to another position where they are not representing the otherwise very friendly and accommodating Cushman’s repair service. When I returned yesterday to pick up the car for the 2nd time, I was taken care of by the young woman at the 2nd desk. Things weren’t much better then either. An attitude adjustment is sorely needed by both of these young women. They exhibited the maturity of two middle school girls! Overall, I am very pleased with my repair and the way I was so cordially and efficiently treated when I dropped the car off. I was not at all happy with the way I was treated when I returned to get the car, either time!
