Olde Town Auto Body & Paint

It was great until the very last few hours. I had to bring it back immediately to troubleshoot a noise and smell, and several things didn't go so well. First, I was clear that when I came back, I would need to work in my laptop, and I asked if they were set up for that (space, wifi), and was assured yes. But the waiting area was not set up in a way I could easily work; there was no posted info re: name and login for the wifi. It would have been better to convey that they aren't really set up for it and suggest I work at the nearby Starbucks. Second, I was told the problem was a "nail" in the tire, but when shown, it was clearly a sheet metal type screw, and when I pointed that out, I got a stonewall response. Third, during this, I just didn't feel comfortable in the body shop. This is partly a function of being the only female in auto land with about 8 males looking at me, but it's also a function of the non-verbal which seemed to communicate that they felt annoyed I had returned to bother them. This could have been offset if the gentleman at the desk were warmer, but it was a pretty cool interaction there, which combined with the rest of the context to create a less than welcoming impression. Research shows that our recollection of an event is disproportionately colored by the last thing that happens. So it's unfortunate that a month of their hard work to repair my car very well, ahead of schedule, with great updates and communication - all fantastic, and for which I really do comment Old Towne - was a bit tarnished by the last hour.

I have no suggestions for improvements. I just want to say thank you.

Excellent staff and service!

had we known it was going to go past the time promised we would have brought it in the following week. We had told your shop we were taking it on a ten hour trip for the holidays. it caused us to have to stay in a hotel and missed some of our family events in Georgia/Florida. We were notified it was being painted on Thursday and that we may get the truck back on time or earlier seemed hopeful. But to take five more days to put it together and then to be told it may be an extra day was very disappointing. Please be as realistic as possible up front The people answering phones were extremely polite and helpful yet one man was very rude when I called at noon to get a time check and he said it could be another day and they hadn't even started to put the parts back on the truck.
