Orig I was told that my car would be ready in 5 days. It actually took 9.
****. On the fifth day I recieved a text msg stating that my car would be ready by 5pm or I would recieve an update for when my car would be ready. At 4:15pm I called to let them know that I was stuck in traffic but was on my way. Turns out, my car wasn't even going to be ready until the following week-Tuesday. If I would've known, I wouldn't've left early from my plans.
2. I made arrangements so that I could pick up my car Wed morning since I work nights. I recieved a call around 4:30pm on Mon stating that my car would not be ready until Wed!
By this point, I did't understand why my car is taking so long when Honda's are the easiest cars to find parts for. When I call back I inform Rigo that the rental is due on Fri and that if my car is not ready by then, Tommy's will need to pay for the rental car extention. He says that the car should be ready by Wed and that he would give me a call to confirm.
3. I did not recieve that call, however; I did recieve a text update (on Wed) stating that my car would be ready on Tue. I took the initiative to call and stated that I would be there first thing in the morning to pick up my car. I recieved a call from Francisco at 7:20am today saying that my car was ready. We showed up at 7:40am.
All in all, I felt that Tommy's was stretching the return date maybe to get more money from Farmer's, I'm not sure. I felt like they thought that I was at their disposal since they had my car.
At first they seemed really easy going and thoughtful. I have a busy schedule and when they said that they had text updates, I thought that this would be the perfect place. The text updates were good but not consistant and in the end, not accurate. Seemingly nice employees, but follow ups were also not consistant. For this, I would say thumbs down. We postponed our trip to Mantica because of the car. We should have gone with our initial plan and gotten the car fixed while down there.
I would say that the work is as good as any auto body shop would've done.
