Told my car was done, left work in the middle of the day to pick up the car, however the repair job was poorly executed. Some tape was still on the fender before it was painted, resulting in an non painted section. Seems like you have closed out my repair job in your system, based on the texts I have been receiving. I will keep responding to your texts in the hope that you decide to update how you do notifications. The reason? Getting texts saying that the job is done despite repairs not being completed is only a reminder of the aggravation you guys are putting me through. I think this kind of social media outreach can be a positive thing, but only if it is executed properly, and certainly for me it has only been an increased source of frustration. For example, you sent me a text last night saying "Thank you Ted for allowing us to repair your Ford". Keep in mind I was back at work making up for the time I missed driving down and back to your shop so I could meet with William from Geico before he left for the day. So, I was frustrated and I replied with one word..."Seriously?". I got a reply stating that it's an automated system (which is fine) but I am curious why your system would consider my job closed. Also, I don't appreciate being patronized by being told that it's a "small issue" that you guys didn't do the job right the first time. The tape on the fender was obvious to me, and I don't do body work. The more I think about it, the more I can't believe your guys didn't catch it, and it really makes me wonder about your process and who is in charge of making sure that repairs are checked before customers are called in to pick up their vehicles. So, as of right now, I am absolutely not satisfied with my overall repair experience. And if you are going to send me any more text messages, please make sure they are applicable to my situation and not generic.
