My car sat in the shop for a nearly week before they got the part. The shop knew for 2 months what part they need and didn't order it until after I dropped off the car. There was no effort to call the supplier before to make sure that they could get the part and reserve it. The shop said they don't have room to store the part ahead of time. This seems unlikely given the size of the facility. The end result was that I was without a car for 5 days while my car sat in the shop for no good reason.
